ABOUT JAKE
Jake Williams began his wheelchair basketball journey in 2007 thanks to an intorducton to the sport from a local player, who scouted Williams while he was going through rehabilitation following his accident. Williams was connected with the Milwaukee Buck (WASA) NWBA junior team where he played until entering the collegiate ranks of Wheelchair Basketball in 2010. In 2014, Williams won The NWBA intercollegiate national championship as a member of The (UWW) Warhawks Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team and later as a coach in 2024. In 2016 he helped lead Team USA to victory and a GOLD medal at the Paralympics Games in Rio. He continued on in winning gold medals in both Tokyo 2020/21 and Paris 2024. Made history as a member of the first ever team to win 3 consecutive Gold medals at the Paralympics in Wheelchair Basketball. Today, he can be found playing with the WASA Marquette Eagles and as a Head Coach at the University of Whitewater-Wisconsin.
