The Surge Handrims by Out-Front is a premium, all-in-one oval wheelchair pushrim engineered for maximum efficiency. Unlike traditional multi-piece systems, it features a specialized high-friction rubber Gription Strip embedded directly into the top surface of the ring. This design provides exceptional traction when pushing up ramps or traversing heavy carpets, while leaving the hard-anodized aluminum sides entirely smooth for no-burn braking.
Flexible Mounting Positions
Every model in the Surge family is built to adapt to your specific width and gripping preferences. Using standard multi-point tab hardware, they can be installed either mounted in (close-in position) to keep your wheelchair narrow for tight spaces, or mounted out (wide position) to give your thumbs and fingers extra clearance from the tire.
