Mounted In vs. Mounted Out Flexibility

Depending on your driving preferences and hand size, these handrims offer two distinct setup orientations using the same 6 tabs:

• Mounted In (Close Mount): Attaching the tabs to the inside connection points brings the handrim closer to the tire. This creates a narrower total wheelchair width, making it much easier to navigate through tight doorways and confined indoor spaces.

• Mounted Out (Wide Mount): Attaching the tabs to the outside connection points pushes the handrim further away from the tire. This positioning significantly increases your thumb spacing and provides a larger, more ergonomic gripping area if you require extra clearance.
